HS Investimentos is a private investment company focused on creating long-term value.

The main activities of HS Investimentos are focused on investments in different asset classes, which include in its portfolio: Strategic Assets, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Variable Income and Fixed Income.

HSi was founded by Helio Seibel, a businessman with more than 50 years of experience in the Retail, Industry, Building Materials, Energy, Real Estate and Financial sectors.

Engaged in the process of global understanding, HSi encompasses, in addition to philanthropic activities, investments that seek to combine financial returns with positive social and environmental impacts.

It is part of HS Investments philosophy to establish solid relationships with its partners, always aiming for a harmonious alignment of interests.

Our story

  “Our story began with Bernard Seibel, who arrived in Brazil at the age of 14, in 1925. He began his career in the furniture industry in 1935 and, in 1961, bought Leo Madeiras – until then a small wood distributor with 180m², located in the Rua do Gasômetro region, in São Paulo.”

In 1969, Helio Seibel, aged 16, entered the business to help his father. From then on, he promoted the company’s growth from a small store into the largest national distribution network of raw materials, machines and hardware for the furniture market in Brazil.

In 2020, Alex Seibel became part of the management of HS Investments. Before that he dedicated his professional years developing his own businesses activities in ESG impact related sectors like Consumer Goods based on circular economy, Renewable Energy (solar) and Venture Capital focusing on impact and tech opportunities.

Leo Madeiras

Founded in 1943, Leo has evolved from a store on Gasômetro street to the largest distributor of supplies for joinery, furniture industry in Brazil, with the largest stock and variety of the sector, with more than 15,000 items offered.

Ligna Florestal

Ligna Florestal is the company that owns approximately 60,000 hectares of land in Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul. The properties are fully leased to Duratex and the new Joint Venture between Duratex and Lenzing.
